I just think a LOT about what I want this collective to be. I want it to be an easy source of income for artists who work full-time elsewhere, artists who DON’T have lots of time or money to get their shit out there because they’re too busy paying the bills the only way they’re able to. Some of us don’t have the resources given to us so we can stay home and work freelance all day. We’ve got to push carts and chuck boxes because that’s what we have to do right now. I’m kind of pissed off about that, because some of the best artists I know get stuck neck-deep in debt with a BFA they can’t use because they’ve got to pay it off first. Why isn’t anyone looking at their shit? Because if they looked at it, they’d buy it.
Eventually I want to figure out some way of gaining revenue so I can have an in-house studio where we could work and put together anthologies. I work full-time, I don’t have a lot of time or money or energy, so it’s hard to try and find what I need to get this thing going, but I think I can do it. Probably.

Doing Xena fanart gave me the idea to keep designing characters after dogs. I think I’m also entering a new phase of drawing a bit simpler by sticking to simple outlines and not drawing curves and calves and etc. It’s just gonna be a whole lot easier to make this comic that way… A thing I am figuring out HALFWAY through my fucking first chapter.

Some TMNT fanart. I got progressively more drunk as I was drawing this so Splinter kinda turned into a weird guinea pig.

One of my favorite things is buying a new sketchbook then taking all the shit from my old sketchbook and transferring it.
